» Home Again!!!
Published 05/25/2009
We arrived home this morning following a month in Washington & Virginia. Tilly had the 6 monthly research for the first week and a few potential issues transpired, which was worrying. The MRI showed fluid and narrowing around the brain and we had to meet with neuro surgeons to discuss. After reviewing the last 3 years of scans and the potential complications it was decided that surgery would not take place, much to our relief for Tilly!
The surgery to remove the loose metal works in Tilly's leg had to be delayed due to an unusual urine infection, normally found in the blood.
Tilly had surgery last Monday to remove a large rod, about 5 inches long and 1 inch thick, and screws. All appears to have gone well and Tilly insisted that she was not in pain less than 24 hours after surgery! She just wanted to get out of Hospital as quickly as possible, which is understandable...
We arrive home this morning and she is doing well.

I am sorry to have to report that our fears have been confirmed about Tilly's hips. On the left side some of the metal fixings have come loose and need removing.
We are in talks with experts in London and the US and I think surgery will take place in April/May. This will probably mean a lengthy stay in the US again and we are obviously very upset for Tilly.
Also the fund will be hit considerably, so the need to drive fundraising becomes a key aspect of our lives to ensure Tilly can get the help she so desparately needs.
We have great friends that are actively raising funds at present and we will continue to look into other ways.
We feel so sorry for Tilly to have to endure more operations but the need is so important, especially considering how brittle her bones are and the chances of fracture are high.
I will update you further when we have news.
Kind regards
Colin & Debra

Just to let you know that Tilly is okay but struggling with pain in her hips. It is believed that this is being caused by arthritis which may have to be managed by way of steroid injections.
We are communicating with the surgeon in the US to ask his opinions and recommendations.
Tilly will be visiting the US again soon for another week of research, she is dreading it but we know how important it is for Tilly's future.
Hope this message finds you well and thank you for reading about our beautiful daughter 'Tilly'.

» X-Factor - Wow what a night!!!
Published 11/15/2008
Tilly was so happy through the whole show, whooping with delight throughout the live show!
As the acts were waiting to go on stage, a number caught Tilly smiling and waving at them and they all smiled and waved back.
During the show she met with Andy Abrahams, ex-X Factor contestant, who was lovely talking with Tilly and having a picture taken and signed her autograph book. Eoghan's father was sitting behind us and spoke with Tilly and promised that she could meet with Eoghan after the show, really nice guy. I spoke to the compare working between the breaks and he said he would see what he could do for Tilly to meet the judges after the show. After a bit of searching after the show, we found him and he took us through to the dressing room area and..............
Louis Walsh spent time talking to Tilly and had a picture taken with Tilly and signed her book, he was lovely with her.
Next, we entered the dressing room next door and Simon Cowell came straigh to Tilly and had a lovely chat with her, had picture with Tilly and signed her book: To Tilly, My New Best Friend!!! He was so nice to us and has asked me to call his assistant on Monday!
In the VIP area we met and had pictures with:
JLS Eoghan Ruth Alexandra Daniel Diana Sinita
A friend of mine who I called on the way knows JLS very well and so he called Ashton's dad to ask him to look out for Tilly. As we walked in the studio we met and he arranged for Tilly to meet the boys after the show! Tilly's favourite act! They went straight to Tilly and were lovely with her, as where all the family and friends of the boys!!!
All the staff of the show treated Tilly so well and made it a night to remember for her, she is so happy and pleased.
Thanks to all the kind staff that made it an unforgettable night for a beautiful young lady x
I will post the pictures as soon as they are ready.

Tilly is finally leaving for Washington DC next Saturday, September 22nd, with Research taking place from Monday 24th Sept.
Following the Research, Tilly will be transfered to Virginia during the first week of October to undergo hip surgery.
Feeling nervous now the time has come, but full of hope that Tilly can realise her dream to walk independantly.
There are so many kind people to thank for the past incredible year of raising funds for Tilly, it will take a lifetime for me to thank all of them.

Friday 13th July 2007 at The Venue' in London!!! I will finally be boxing in 3 weeks time! I have been training for a few weeks now and despite training 2-3 times a week, it's not getting any easier!!!
I have a brilliant trainer, Micky, at the Real Fight Club who is pushing me all the way in support of the up an coming event.
Alan Lacey, founder of The Real Fight Club, has been magnificent in helping myself and 'Tillys Appeal Fund'. He is informed me last week that the profit's raised by the intended auction event on the night will be donated to our cause. This kind support is very well appreciated but I am not surprised to be honest as Alan is a very decent man.
Colin in training with proud Tilly supporting her dad
For ticket information please contact: www.therealfightclub.co.uk The profits of the proceeds for sponsorship and the auction will be split between 'Tilly's Appeal Fund' and 'The Richard House Hospice'. The hospice opened recently in London and provides support and restbite to parents and their terminally ill children. We have access to a local hospice and know the incredible support that is given during the most difficult times faced by parents with terminally ill children.
Please offer your support by kindly offering to sponsor me, Tilly's dad, for the up and coming event!!! Should you wish to support by sponsoring, please email me: colinbailey828@btinternet.com
Looking forward to the event and to hopefully raising a helpful amount for both very good causes, with your support of course!!!
Kind regards

£500 Donation!

A close friend of ours, Ashley Smith, discussed Tilly's plight with a friend of his over the past few weeks. His friend was very touched by Tilly's story and, subsequently, decided to approach his Company to ask for support.
As a result of his approach a large financial City based company has very kindly donated £500 to the Fund.
We thanks you so much for your kindness in helping towards our daughter's plight.
