Tilly has slowly deteriated in mobility over the past few months to the degree that she could not stand as her right hip was causing so much pain. She was given pain relief which did not prove very effective so morphene was introduced which helped. The following week Tilly has an MRI scan which showed large clouds of white mass which was considered to be inflamation and so a small operation was performed to inject steroids into the hip and samples were also taken for testing.
Tilly responded well and after a few days managed to stand again. After daily physio and her blood results settling towards a normal level we were hoping to bring her home last Friday but unfortunately she begun spiking high tempretures and a urine infection has been detected. Unfortunately she remains at Great Ormond Street and we are praying for a change so that we can at least get her home for Christmas.
